Strings & Stories is our most intimate night: the house string players in a candle-warm arc, performing the themes written in our rooms this season — and telling, between pieces, where each one came from and what it cost to finish.
Expect film cues stripped to their bones, a wedding theme played for the couple it was written for, and one brand-new premiere the audience votes to keep or cut.
On The Stand
Doors open at 18:30 with the room already tuned. The first set runs forty minutes, then an interval with the players at the tables, then a second set closing with the premiere vote and a group bow.
Seats are unreserved within two rows, and every seat is within ten paces of the bows — there is no bad chair in this room.
Good To Know
Seventy seats, no amplification beyond a whisper of room reinforcement, and silence kindly kept during pieces. Under-twelves welcome at the early sitting; the bar pours soft drinks and one honest red.
